A blended format of a masters in public health is offered through the UMass Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences and the UMass Chan Medical School—Worcester campus. Courses are taught both in person in the evenings or fully asynchronous online. Students can choose which courses they take in either format. Online courses are offered in cooperation with the UMass Amherst SPHHS MPH in public health practice degree program and in-person courses are offered by medical school faculty one or two evenings a week at the medical school. Students in the program are assigned an advisor from among the medical school faculty and work with this advisor in the planning of both their practicum and final projects.

The program is also open to working professionals in the Worcester area interested in courses but not a full degree.
